So, I made a trip to Poland recently. A visit to the place with a horrible legacy was mandatory to me. Not exactly a fun tourist outing, but mandatory nonetheless. As one can suspect, it left an impression of disbelieve and sadness. We all know about it, we all know the horror which took place, but witnessing the remnants of the madness is something else. It gets even more real... Especially the scale of Auschwitz II-Birkenau left me and my fellow visitors speechless.
I was hesitant about sharing these images. But since photography is a way of expressing myself, viewing the world or even hiding behind a camera from the harshness of reality, I decided to share these humble impressions and quick snippets of a day between the horror stories of humanity.
